After maybe three hours of quarter VP Wednesday night, I was surprised to be comped a breakfast buffet the next morning. This was my first ever comp, by the way. The boothlings were nice, but just didn't give out any information. I stopped by a couple more times during my stay, but was never told "how close" I was to any sort of comp, just that "they were sorry but they couldn't give me anything at this time". I agree with other comments on the database: the practical guy in me can't handle not knowing where I stand. I don't like that the players card simply says "welcome" when inserted. I like the countdown and the points display. So, when comparing Atlantis to Silver Legacy, I thought the hotel room at Atlantis was bigger and better, but the casino floor at Atlantis is so helter skelter and hard to maneuver around, and the comp situation is so secretive, that I feel much more comfortable at Silver Legacy. The buffet is huge and amazing. I "toured" at dinner time and couldn't believe the selection. I ate there for breakfast and it was delicious. I also ate at the Parrot coffee shop twice and was impressed with its quality as well.

Spent some time in the Atlantis this weekend and have the following confirmations and updates. Terrace Bar This is a nice, non-smoking place to play. Unlike most casino locations you have some very nice views from the machines, as you sit right over Virginia Street and can look over the mountains. The downside is, during the middle of the day, the glare on the machines can be pretty strong. By the way, I'm not much of a sushi eater but that sushi bar stays hopping, so if the level of business is any indication they may have some pretty good sushi. There are some good plays up here as well. Spinpoker: there are two Spinpoker machines along the windows close to the middle of Virginia Street. They have, in nickles and dimes, the following games: 20/7 Kings or Better Joker Poker 10/7 Double Bonus 16/10 NSU Deuces 9/6 Jacks or Better Super Aces (Bonus) [99.9%] Super Double Bonus [99.6%] Triple Double Bonus [99.5%] In the same spot there are two Multistrike Poker machines in nickles and dimes with: 10/7 Double Bonus 16/10 NSU Deuces 2 pair Joker Poker 9/6 Jacks or Better Scattered along the windows are several GameKing slant-tops with the following full pay games in quarters and dimes (but note that many of these machines are 10-coin max bet but they do have the full royal payout at 5 coins): 10/7 Double Bonus 9/6 Jacks or Better Super Double Bonus Triple Double Bonus Main Casino At the bottom of the escalators between the terrace bar and the main casino are a double bank of six machines (three on each side) with 3 50-play machines on one side and three 100-play machines on the other side. These machines have, in .01, .02, .05 & .10: 9/6 Jacks or Better Super Double Bonus Triple Double Bonus The $1 Bally Gamemaker uprights on the right hand side of the stage (as you face it) next to the steps leading to the "Radical Royals" bar with 10/7/80 Double Bonus are still there. Also, over on the other side of the Radical Royals bar are two slant-top Bally Gamemakers with $1 10/7/80 Double Bonus. General Comment: There does not appear to be any FPDW (that I'm aware of) at the Atlantis. There is a lot of great stuff though including lots of 10/7 DB around including plenty of progressives. They have good blackjack games as well as the nicest low-limit, non-smoking poker room in town. This place was really hopping this past weekend, too. Only its "don't ask, won't tell" player's club keeps it from being ranked higher in my estimation. Frankly, even there I can't complain too much since I've never actually been turned down for a comp I requested. It's just my bean-counter personality that it annoys me never to know where I stand in their system.

The (3) 5c (5-20-coins) across from vip check-in (labled keno plus) are short-pay PKM. I confirmed that the .25 and $1 PKM machines listed in the database are indeed full pay. Also, the bar at the Sportsbook has bartop 25c NSUD progressive. They have nickel and dime full pay All-American which is not reflected in the database. The 10/7 DB $1 progressive slant-tops alongside the Atrium Bar (Radical Royals) pay $50,000 for a sequential royal (either direction).

Found .05 full pay pickem across from vip checkin, 3 machine labled keno plus, take 20-coins but seem to be fp at 5 coins. 2 50 & 2 100 play machines back to back next to keno, 3 100 play mach. across from elevators to concierge towers, 3 100 & 3 50 play in a "rock tunnel" by slot club desk all have fp job & sdb , fun to play. ALL .05 3/5 & 10 play vp have 9/6 job.

There has been a steady downgrading of VP at the Atlantis over the last year or so; except for the two banks of 25c DB progressives, and the 25c DB bank at the other side of the Sky Terrace Bar(all these are very old and slow machines), most of the DB games are now 9/7 (however,
