*** Currently the Riverside slot club pays both cash back and food/room comps. Food and room comp rates are unknown. Slot club employees are not allowed to tell you at what rate you earn comps and are not even allowed to tell you how many comp dollars are in your account. If you want lunch for two in the coffee shop, you ask at the slot club booth, and you will be told if you "qualify" or not. There are two separate columns in the computer for your slot account. You could cash out all of your cash back dollars and still retain all of your comp dollars for future use without any additional play.

Something completely new! Maybe it is a mistake, but four new upright Game Kings are now located by the northwest doors in the old north casino. These TITO GKs have .25 and .50 plays and these four games...10/7 DB, 8/5 Bonus, 9/6 DDB and NSUD. Must have been a mistake. These games went MIA on 21 SEP.

The 9/6/5 DDJ are gone. $1 NSUD are in some of the bartops in all four bars. Four GK slant-tops, by the gift shop, have $1 NSUD. The one $1 Jacks in N/S is now by the Chinese joint. The DJ .25 still are scattered in the north casino.

According to the "Best Games" list for the Riverside, there are 9/6/5 DDJ games (100.3%), but I did not find them near the Cinnabun. Also, I could not find the 8/5 DJ games (99.6%).

Last Wednesday night (Sepr. 16) all the full pay Deuces Wild and Double Bonus Poker - location details unknown. were pulled out of the old north side bar - sent to the basement for spare parts.

I stopped in at the Riverside coming into town. You can't beat that new parking by Casino West! Inventory- Casino West- all $1 NSUD is gone on the floor. Keno, keno, keno! There are bartops with $1 NSUD. New plasma TVs too, hanging at the bar. Game Kings overlooking the Riverview bar with $1 NSUD are gone. In non-smoking there are 4 .25 Sigma DJ in a row by the sandwich shop. The ones by the Chinese joint moved over there.

I was there on 10/19. The .25 FPDW, JW, and 10/7 DB machines in the Riverview bar area have been replaced by Playboy slots. I looked to see if they had been moved but was unable to locate them.

As of Sept 8 the $1 FPDW machine at the Riverside is now a quarter FPDW machine. In fact all those machines near the River Bar that were dollar machines are now quarter machines. That includes the 1 Bonus machine,the 2 10/7 Double Bonus and the 1 Joker Poker - location details unknown.

Promo-giving away cars or $20K on the 5 Thursdays in May. Drawing tickets earned in only two ways- $500 coin-in or suited $5 Blackjacks(single deck games, but DD 10,11 only). Drum emptied weekly. Must be present at 6pm. Room Earned Comps: after getting 5000 points ($25K) lifetime you qualify for monthly offers. Earn 500 points ($2,500) a month, get 2 free nights sun-thurs., earn 1000 points ($5K) two nights Friday included, 2000 points ($10K) 2 nights any day and 2 breakfast buffets. Check the daily featured promo (Card of the Day, etc.) at the slot club booth to get a 6pm drawing ticket for $100.

"Casino West" has opened for business. This addition is on the other side of Casino Drive. There is 10,000 sq ft of new casino space on the ground floor and a soon to be completed Mexican restaurant on the second floor. "Casino West" is completely TITO. There is a square VP bar featured. What is unusual is the use of ceiling to floor glass on the north and east sides. Hopefully the ventilation is better than the low ceiling main casino. In the old north section chain food outlets have sprung up...Cinnabon, Pizza Hut, Dreyers, and Seattle Coffee. I guess this is OK, Don Laughlin does not give out food comps anyway.
