The standard rooms are very small. The king or 2 queen beds take up most of the floor space. The bathroom is about the size of a closet. But, hay, we don't go to Las Vegas to stay in the room. The rooms are clean and beds comfortable. What more do we need. Yes they do have suites. The last few times we stayed in the Fremont they put us up in a mini-suite. They are about the size of two standard rooms -- a living area with TV, couch, table, couple chairs, etc., the same bathroom mentioned above, and a standard size bedroom with another TV. Only one A/C services both rooms and it can hardly keep up in hot weather but shouldn't be a problem this time of year. Personally I like the Fremont. We have stayed there so much we call it our home away from home. They have a fairly decent buffet (ask for a line pass) and a couple good restaurants -- Tony Roma's and Second St Grill. I also like downtown where you can just stroll from one casino to another. Security is everywhere, we feel safer there than on the strip. I like the Fremont St Experience shows and the street entertainers. But most of all, I like gambling there. Their customers are definitely different from the strip. These are gamblers not families out on a "resort" vacation.
